I had a mixed experience at Hotel Villa Maria. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short stroll to the main pedestrian area of Sorrento. On the downside, the dining options were pretty underwhelming, lacking variety and flavor. My room was clean but quite basic and dated, which didn't match the pricing I paid.

My room was clean but basic and in need of renovations. The shower was tiny, and I had issues with the fridge not being cold enough. It also had very limited plug sockets available.
Service
5.0
While I found some staff to be friendly, there were moments of inattentiveness that stuck out. The manager seemed unapproachable when I had an issue, which really put a damper on my experience.
Location

The hotel is super conveniently located, just two minutes from the bustling main street filled with shops and restaurants. I loved being able to walk to so many attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was alright, but the evening meals left a lot to be desired. The food felt tailored to British tastes and was mostly bland, which really didn't do Italy's culinary reputation justice.
Facilities

The heated pool was a nice touch, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the general areas. However, charging for pool towels felt a bit excessive.

My stay at Villa Maria was truly nice. The hotel boasts a central location, allowing easy access to Sorrento's shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the beautiful sea views from my room, and the heated pool was a good spot to unwind. However, I did notice the facilities showed some wear and tear, and could use updates for a more polished experience.

The rooms are spacious and kept clean, with lovely balconies offering stunning views of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius. While comfortable, they feel a bit dated, with some bathroom fixtures in need of attention.

The hotel's location is prime, situated near the heart of Sorrento yet still serene enough for relaxation. I could easily explore local sights and the marina, which made my trip more enjoyable.

Dining was a highlight, with a diverse breakfast spread featuring fresh fruits, pastries, and a variety of dishes. The evening meals were equally impressive, although I wished for more healthy options.
Facilities

The pool area was relaxing, complemented by a great bar service. However, I found that some amenities, like the jacuzzi, did not meet expectations, which was disappointing given the overall charm of the hotel.

I had a good stay at Hotel Villa Maria, enjoying its charming atmosphere and friendly staff. The hotel's location made it easy to access all that Sorrento offers, and the food was really good. However, the shower in my room was quite small and showed signs of wear, which detracted a bit from the relaxing vibe. Overall, it was a lovely experience! 🌞🍝

5.8/10

My stay at Hotel Villa Maria was quite pleasant overall, though there were a few hiccups. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the heart of Sorrento, and the staff, especially Antonio, were incredibly accommodating and friendly. However, the walls were quite thin, which disrupted my sleep at times. I enjoyed the food in the restaurant, although I think the breakfast could have offered a bit more variety.

Rooms

My room was spacious and well-kept, but I noticed it had a bit of an outdated charm to it. The shower was nice, though rather small, and the air conditioning didn't start until I asked the reception to turn it on.

I was really impressed with the location of Villa Maria, right in the center of Sorrento, making it super easy to get to shops and restaurants. The service from the staff was also great—they greeted me like an old friend every time I walked through the door. However, the breakfast selections left a bit to be desired, mostly lacking variety. Overall, it was a good experience, but some improvements could definitely be made to the dining options.

The hotel is perfectly located on the main street, close to all the action in Sorrento. I loved being able to walk to various bars and restaurants easily.
Dining

Breakfast was pretty basic and didn’t vary much during my stay. There wasn't a huge selection, and as a vegan, I found it pretty limiting. I'd recommend exploring local restaurants instead.
Facilities

The pool area was nice and relaxing, not too crowded, which I enjoyed. The rooftop sun deck offered stunning views but was surprisingly underused, making it a great spot to unwind.
